The Blue Mountains are a mountainous region
and mountain range in New South Wales, Australia. The region is considered to
be part of the western outskirts of the Greater Sydney area. The Three Sisters
sandstone rock formation is one of the regions best known attractions. Several
established towns are situated on its heights, including Katoomba, Blackheath,
Mount Victoria and Springwood. The range forms the watershed between Coxs River
to the south and the Grose and Wolgan rivers to the north. The range contains
the Explorer Range and the Bell Range. Blue Moutains reminded me of Shenandoah
National Park in United States with lush green dense forests covering acres of
land.
