30th birthday... end of youth ?

When people asks you...whats your age? and you reply I am 30...the next question will be, are you married? I thought its only in Asian culture...not really...this magic number 30 is considered even in western society as a big threshold age.. recently one of my good friend Nico celebrated his 30th birthday....in North Germany if you are not married by 30...you have to the clean the footsteps of Rathaus (Municipality building)... and in return the girls passing by comes and gives you a kiss...Nico was dressed up like a sexy lady and he was cleaning the footsteps of our apartment...Flo his good friend also dressed up like a bitch..came and helped Nico and they exchanged their kisses...oh no they are not gays...both have girl friends ;) It was totally a different experience for me...followed by awesome dinner and more important stuff for Germans (ALCOHOL, DANCE)...so better get married before 30th...having seen the German society, I guess 9 out of 10 Germans have to clean the footsteps of Rathaus...Now I understand why Germany is clean ;)

Cheers,
